A friend of the 146th ECB sent these photos shown below of the Cemetery and Memorial in Normandy, France. He visited the place last year and took these pictures. We are not privi as to his affection for our Unit nor its members, but we want to express our gratitude for  his involvement. Thanks, Robert Dennis!

The dog tag belonged to Sgt Joseph Murphy, a member of 3rd platoon, Company B of the 146th ECB, under the command of Lt Wesley Ross. Killed in the fall of 1944 while arming an anti-personnel mine which exploded in his face. (Pictures, info and photos furnished by Wesley Ross.)

The document below is a reproduction of the original Commendation issued by the Commanding Officer of the 1171st Engr Combat Group, to which the 146th ECB was attached during the action at Vossenack, Germany.
